6 Adapted Social Skills Books for Special Education
I am a certified trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach. I started to look for character trait activities to do with my students so that we could work on learning different character traits and start using that vocabulary. Teaching students what different character traits are and what it means to have those different qualities is so important. What I had discovered was that there is not much out there for character trait activities. And what I had really noticed was a lack of adaptive character trait activities. This is when I started to create adapted character trait books and that led into where I am at today. I created my own teacher pay teacher store and I was motivated to start a blog!
These are six adapted social skills books that focus on character traits that I have enjoyed using with my students.

I have found these character trait adapted books to be very successful with my students that need adaptive curriculum/activities. They are very convenient! I use a three drawer independent work system with a couple of my students. I use a lot of adapted books like these for those two students and they are perfect for that independent work system!
